Concealed wiring, chasing and access work
Where possible, cables can be concealed within walls, floors and ceilings to achieve a neat finished installation. This may require chasing plaster, cutting access holes, lifting floorboards or drilling through external walls.
Before starting, we explain the proposed cable route and any areas that may require access. Dust sheets and appropriate extraction are used where practical, and the work area is left tidy.
Unless specifically included in the quotation, final plastering, decorating and specialist surface repairs are normally completed by the customer’s chosen tradesperson.
Important: The amount of disruption depends on the construction of the property, the cable route and whether suitable access is available above or below the work area.

Why use a registered electrician?
Why electrical alterations should be carried out properly
Adding a socket, fused spur or lighting point can involve more than extending a cable. The existing circuit must be assessed for suitability, protective devices checked, earthing arrangements verified and the completed work tested.
Easy Spark Ltd is NAPIT registered, fully insured and a Which? Trusted Trader. Electrical work is completed in accordance with current wiring regulations and certification is provided where required.
Making good after electrical work
We aim to keep access work and disruption to a minimum. Minor filling may be completed where agreed, but full plastering, decorating, wallpaper repairs, tiling and specialist finishes are not normally included unless stated in the quotation.
Where another trade is required, the installation can be planned so the area is ready for final repair and decoration.

Easy Spark Ltd carries out electrical installation and alteration work in Grays, Thurrock, Dartford, Gravesend, Bromley, Orpington and surrounding areas.
Frequently asked questions about electrical installations
Do you chase walls for new cables?
Yes. Where suitable, cables can be concealed within walls. The proposed route and likely disruption will be explained before work begins.
Do you repair the wall afterwards?
Minor filling may be included where agreed, but final plastering and decoration are normally excluded unless specifically stated in the quotation.
Can you add sockets without damaging the wall?
Sometimes. Surface-mounted trunking, existing voids, loft access and underfloor routes may allow cables to be installed with less disruption.
Can you extend an existing socket circuit?
In some situations, yes. The existing circuit must first be assessed to confirm it is suitable for the proposed alteration.
Do new sockets need RCD protection?
Appropriate additional protection must be provided where required by the current wiring regulations. The existing consumer unit and circuit protection will be checked before work starts.
Will the work be tested?
Yes. Electrical alterations are inspected and tested, and certification is provided where required.
Can I send photos for a quotation?
Yes. Photos of the proposed area, consumer unit and nearby electrical accessories can be sent by WhatsApp for an initial assessment.
Do you install customer-supplied accessories?
Yes, provided the equipment is suitable, compliant and compatible with the existing installation.
